Who we are

Every word of Scripture is true and inspired by God. Yet certain passages seem to tell our own story. Living Testimony Ministry, a non-denominational Pentecostal church, was birthed through much prayer, fasting, and earnestly seeking the Lord's direction. When God answered, our first Bible study was held in Chapel C of Gardner Funeral Home.

To some, the ministry seemed unlikely to succeed, and others believed it would not last. But God had already established His purpose. He commissioned us to move forward long before we understood His complete plan. For four years, we worshiped, prayed, studied God's Word, and fellowshipped together in a place where families gathered to mourn their loved ones. Yet God transformed that place into holy ground.

Week after week, the Lord faithfully met us there. Souls were saved, backsliders returned to Christ, bodies were healed, lives were restored, and countless people were forever changed by the power of God. Along the journey, some individuals were with us only for a season. While their paths eventually led elsewhere, we thank God for every person who shared in the ministry during those formative years.

Those years in the funeral home shaped us. God taught us perseverance, unwavering faith, wholehearted devotion, and the importance of waiting on Him. As we remained faithful in prayer, fasting, giving, and serving, He proved Himself faithful to His promises.

Then, after only four years, on June 9, 2009, Living Testimony Ministry purchased its first sanctuary — valued at more than half a million dollars. We were not a large congregation, but we served a great God, and our faith was greater than our numbers.
